Trinity International LLP is seeking a talented Junior Associate (2–3 years’ PQE) trained in, and with experience of working in, a leading City, Magic Circle or US firm (or equivalent international practice) to join its international disputes team in London.
The firm’s international disputes practice focuses on the prevention and resolution of disputes arising out of the energy, power, natural resources, infrastructure, industrial and agricultural sectors, principally through international commercial and investment treaty arbitration proceedings.
The team also works closely with our transactional colleagues on the negotiation of dispute resolution clauses and the preparation and implementation of investment protection strategies.
The firm’s clients include sponsors, lenders and public sector representatives.

Responsibilities
Day-to-day tasks will include:
- Gathering, reviewing and analysing contemporaneous documents;
- Gathering witness evidence and assisting with the preparation of witness and expert evidence;
- Conducting legal research and preparing drafts of legal advice;
- Preparing inter partes and Tribunal-facing correspondence;
- Preparing written pleadings;
- Liaising with clients, witnesses and experts, Tribunals and opposing counsel;
- Preparing for jurisdictional and merits hearings; and
- Supporting colleagues with ongoing business development initiatives for the international disputes practice.
Summary of Candidate Profile, Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent academic background.
- Qualified and admitted to practise in England & Wales.
- Trained in, and experience of working in, the international disputes / international arbitration practice of a leading City, Magic Circle or US firm (or equivalent international practice).
- Excellent analytical, communication and presentational skills.
- Strong understanding, and practical experience, of the substantive and procedural aspects of international commercial and investment treaty arbitration proceedings (whether conducted under the arbitration rules of major institutions or on an ad hoc basis).
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a professional environment whilst managing competing demands and deadlines.
- Right to work in the UK (without sponsorship).
- Fluency in foreign languages is highly desirable (but not essential).
