Trinity act for CDC on Ghana and Sierra Leone Forestry investment
Published:In February Trinity acted for CDC on its $15,00,000 million investment in Africa-focused agricultural production company, Miro Forestry, a sustainable timber business which operates in Sierra Leone and Ghana. The investment was made in conjunction with a further investment by Finnfund. Miro Forestry, which began planting in late 2010, will use CDC’s investment to expand its operations beyond the current 1,700 hectares (equivalent to 2,300,000 trees) of eucalyptus and teak trees to a total of 8,700 hectares (approx. 11,300,000 trees) by 2017 and represents CDC’s first direct investment into Sierra Leone.
