Rift Valley Railway Financing

Trinity (Simon Norris and David Nanson) advised the Standard Bank of South Africa and CfC Stanbic in relation to the financing of the purchase of 20 locomotives by Rift Valley Railways (RVR). RVR is the operator of the only rail line linking Kenya’s Indian Ocean coast with Uganda. When added to locomotives being rehabilitated in the rail operator’s Nairobi workshop, the trains will double RVR’s mainline locomotive fleet, substantially increasing its freight haulage capacity in Kenya and Uganda.
