Yusuf is a paralegal at Trinity International LLP in London. With three years of experience, Yusuf is a qualified Nigerian lawyer specialising in project finance, energy, and carbon credit securitisation. His expertise also includes advising on complex derivatives (ISDA, GSMLA, & GMRA documented), securitisation (ABS, MBS, CLO), and structured product transactions at a Legal500 and IFLR Tier 1-ranked law firm in Africa.

Academically, Yusuf has excelled as valedictorian and salutatorian, receiving over 19 academic and professional awards, including a Distinction in Finance from his Master’s in Law and Finance at the University of Oxford.

Recently engaged by the European Climate Foundation through the University of Oxford, Yusuf firmly held the pen on a defining project focusing on policy considerations for establishing a voluntary carbon market in Africa and the securitisation of Voluntary Carbon Credits (VCCs) as a pathway for Non-State Actors (NSAs). His work actively contributed to insightful policy discussions at COP 28, where he addressed key legal questions concerning the legal characterisation and treatment of VCCs in Anglophone and Francophone countries and the gating questions of property rights, security interests, and transferability of VCCs.

Yusuf is currently on the path to dual qualification in England and Wales.
