Sonia is an Associate at Trinity International in Washington DC.

Sonia is an experienced corporate and M&A lawyer with a focus on international business transactions, particularly in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors. She has over seven years of experience advising multinational corporations, private equity funds, and project developers on cross-border M&A and financings involving major infrastructure projects in emerging markets

Prior to joining Trinity, Sonia worked at international law firms in Spain, served as in-house counsel at a multinational consulting firm in Washington, D.C., and most recently at The World Bank’s Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA).

Sonia holds an LL.M. in International Business and Economic Law from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a Merit Scholar.  She also holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) with a Minor in International Studies, and a Master’s Degree in Professional Legal Practice (J.D. equivalent), both from University Pompeu Fabra (Spain).

Sonia is admitted to practice law in Spain and is preparing for the New York State Bar Examination.  She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Catalan, with a working knowledge of French.
